Casa De La Playa

My parents have owned off season 1 bedroom weeks here for more than 20 years. Directly across from La Jolla Tidepools and beautiful sunsets. Downtown La Jolla accessible on foot. No car needed if you just want to enjoy La Jolla. Cars must be parked on street which has quite a bit of 2 hr parking. Meets standard timeshare expectations unless you have an ocean view unit, then wow! Current issue is need to make handicap accessible has caused outdoor deck and spa to be closed for a year. The deck is crucial for units without view. Hopefully the project will end soon.

Stayed here for the la jolla half and this location was PERFECT! planning to go back just to stay here again highly recommend. Everything about this place is convenient!!

Such a beautiful and homey place to stay! Right across the street from the ocean- you can even hear the waves at night . The front desk staff were kind and accommodating and let me check in early. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed, including pots, pans and cutlery if you wanted to make something to eat yourself. The walls are quite thin and it’s easy to hear people walking around outside or opening their doors, but everyone was respectful and quiet during the night so I had no issues. One critique is the phone line- I tried calling a couple days before my trip to confirm my reservation and I kept getting sent to the after hours service even though I was calling during operating hours. I had to leave a message with the after hours staff, but the front desk did call me back to confirm. Otherwise a beautiful place and I would definitely love to come back!

Stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The room was clean and quiet. You could hear the ocean at night if you had a window open. It’s literally walking distance from the beach and the price was amazing. We’ll definitely come back.

Our family absolute favorite vacation spot ever. Walking distance to La Jolla village, Children’s Pool, beach, Fish Market and the Taco stand Office staff is helpful and friendly. Amenities are perfect for “lazy day” activities(BBQ, Hot tub). And view of the ocean sunset from our balcony is priceless! Always looking forward to spend time at Casa de la Playa !

Our family originally booked for Hotel Mexico but ended up getting to stay at at Casa De La Playa and was impressed by everything. Now that we know about this hotel we will definitely book for this instead! In addition, Libertad — the employee at Casa De La Playa is amazing! She helped us with booking our activities, restaurant and made our stay better than it already was. She is definitely a top notch employee and deserves the recognition! Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing stress free vacation.
